My computer turns off by itself after I turn it on

My cpu for my pc is a intel core i5 that does have heating issues, its constantly 70-90 even when carrying out intensive tasks, I have heard that the pc will automatically turn off if it overheats to prevent the cpu from being damaged, is there a way to turn it off from the bios? (I have an old anus bios)
