there is nothing wrong! The VGA cable can not transmit Audio.
In this case you will need to run a cable from Audio Out port of the motherboard to the TV. this assumes that the TV has a audio IN port and that you select that port in the TV set-up menu. The correct cable is probably a headphone plug on the computer and either the same headphone like plug or RCA plugs on the TV.
