My Dell latitude E5400 always go dark when powered on and boots to the point where it displays Windows logo.How do I restore it without losing my files in C drive

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

It worked but later continued again and it's worse this time.thanks for time
