Communicating with other SKYPE contacts

Hello,I am using SKYPE and unable to view contacts and communicate with them. I can see and hear them. I am using ISight as my video camera and Labtec Headphone and mic. Under system preferences Sound I have highlighted Output and input device device Labtec. I have Mac Mini with Mac OSX 10.5.7 system software. Your response will be appreciated.

You will have to check your sound input and output settings!
If everything is alright just re-install skype again!
