Well, please provide more details regarding the usb acer folder. It sounds to me like you are attempting to update something that either;
Does not need updateing,
Or, you are uodating with the wrong version. Your post is really confusing, take some time to formulate a complete sentence with as many details as possible.

I would particularly like to know what prompted the network update?
