Resetting password not working

Hi, recently my account got accused by an unauthorized person, i managed to kick out the intruder before much damage was done, but he/she managed to change the password. Now, every time i try to reset the password, i get to the "alternate email/number" scene and after typing it in i just get kicked out to the main login screen. I get no messages, no emails from Facebook.

Do you have a question for facebook about their website?

I noticed that, just saw through google search that people here asked about issues. And since facebook has no solutions that work, i saw this as an option.

I understand. I wish people would just abandone that advertising platform. You do understand all they do is take data on you! And sell it?

Ofc, during this digital age information is as priceless as it gets, and zuck is swimming in Tb of it. I only use the messenger app tho. And unfortunately the one requieres the other.
