How can i fix my DMs?

For a few weeks now, new DMs are not being shown at all and old chats are not accessable eighter, although they do exist. It seems to be a problem with my account, not my device. I updated/restartet/re-installed more than once but am still with the same problem. I'd really appreciate your help and hope the person reading this has a nice weekend! :)
