Can no longer paste text into insta

No this is on my phone. One shoul be able to paste anywhere. On any device. Plus insta is largely a mobile platform. If ppl cant paste, its whole community would collapse and never use it agsin. This shouid not be happening period

I think it's a possible bug with the app. But it seems that you aren't alone - as in this thread, someone encountered the same problem as you, but with Facebook.

I had the same problem this morning, but came up with a crazy fix: triple tap where you want to paste your copied text, and the paste option magically appears! It worked like a charm.

I assume you are using the app.

As a temporary solution, use Instagram from your mobile browser.

You can also try uninstalling/reinstalling the app. If the problem persists, report it to Instagram by going to Menu > Settings > Help > Report a Problem.

I have already reported the issue.

Unfortunately, if I go to the insta web page, it switches automatically to the app.

I cleared cache 1st, that did nothing. I reinstalled and so far that seems to have fixed it. Any idea wtf this issue is? I cant find anyone else with this problem. It's so odd.

Hi,

I suggest you try pasting your text using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.

To copy it, select your text and press Ctrl+C.

Hope this will work.
