Adaptec video grabber-allows video to dvd

Hello,
Hi There
Can anyone advise help with this problem- I am installing a adaptec video grabber to enable tranfers of
video tapes to dvd,the prog seems to have been accepted on my Win XP but it will not accept the driver
at all, its says update system to XP service pack 2.
As I already have XP service pack 3 installed I tried to install XP ser pack 2 but it wont allow that telling me XP ser pack 3 isalready on pc-any help to find possibly a updated drver would be appreciated
