Hello, if your RAM is identical then it does not matter which slot each RAM goes in. It is however recommended that you install RAM slot 1 first, then the 2nd.
Also, make sure that you are not putting the RAM in the wrong way round... it should be obvious (because it won't engage), don't force it.
