What does this mean?

What does it mean when two profile pictures are in the message part of messenger but I can’t actually see the conversation? It says say hi to your new friend and has two profile pictures.

That means you have added a new friend to your facebook friend's list and message is suggesting you to start a conversation with your newly added friend saying a Hi.

But there are two profile pictures at the bottom like there was a conversation but I can’t see the conversation. With all other new friends there aren’t profile pictures in the bottom, message part.
