I have problem starting up my i-pod touch

Hello,any good samaritan can help me solve this problem on my i-pod touch? wheneva i switch it on, it indicates conect usb to itunes unable me to access the home page. what should i do????

You should restart your pc, then plug the i-pod and then start i-tunes!
