Hi
I have a spreadsheet where columns A,B,C contain text (a subject studied at school) e.g. Maths, Science, Geography. I have 170 rows of this data, all a different combination of 3 choices from 14 school subjects. I need the cell next to these lists (Column D) to change colour if columns A,B,C contain a certain subject E.g. Column D changes if they have chosen Maths, Column E changes if they have chosen Science etc.
I've found a formula on here which works for one row at a time but it won't work for multiple rows unless I type it in each time. The formula I'm using is =ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Maths",A2:C2))=True
Can anyone help?
TIA!

Hi KB,
Make sure you have a dollar symbol in front of the column letters in your formula and you have set the right range in the 'Applied range' box.
Best regards,
Trowa
