Hi,
That's right, JavaScript is required on most websites, including Facebook in order to work properly. You can check if JavaScript is enabled by going to your browser's settings - as I don't know what your browser is, I can't give you the steps to follow.
In addition to that, clear your browser's cache and cookies and check if it is up to date. If you're still facing this issue, backup your bookmarks and try reinstalling your browser.

Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click Accept the risk and continue.
In the search field, type javascript.enabled. If JavaScript is disabled, you'll see false. To enable it, click the toggle icon to switch it to true.

Hi, I cleared my cache, deleted cookies, ran my cc cleaner and then proceeded to do as you said. It said "true". Thank you. I appreciate your help.I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and I've tried using Microsoft edge. On my FB page, I went to the help and support never got a response . I tried the FB community and I now know 3 Princes (lol) but no help.

Try disabling hardware acceleration, as it may cause Firefox to crash in some cases. To do so, click the Menu button (the triple bar icon), go to Settings and select General.
Next, under Performance, uncheck Use recommended performance settings and uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
Then close and reopen Firefox.

I did as you said and my contacts reappeared for about 7 minutes . I left FB and went back an now, my contacts have all disappeared again. Thank you
Hi, If you're seeing a problem with how Facebook appears in your web browser, you could have a cache or temporary data issue. 1- You can try clearing your cache and temporary data. You can do this from your web browser's settings or preferences. 3- You can also try using a different web browser.

Hi, I have cleared my cache,my temporary data, I've tried using Microsoft Edge and I have made sure that Java script is enabled. I have also gone to Performance and unchecked the box, then I uncheck the "use hardware acceleration" . I have already uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it . Facebook acted the same way as Firefox when I used Microsoft Edge. I have been experiencing this problem for almost 2 months . Could it have anything to do with the latest Win10 update? Thank you

Hi,
I'm not sure if the issue with Facebook is related to the latest Windows update, but as you're facing this issue with Firefox and Edge, I suggest you check:
If all of the above didn't help to resolve the issue with Facebook, try scanning your computer to make sure that it doesn't have any suspicious or malicious programs. I recommend you to perform the scan with Malwarebytes which is free.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
I'm not sure if the issue with Facebook is related to the latest Windows update, but as you're facing this issue with Firefox and Edge, I suggest you check:
- Your browser's extensions: make sure they don't interfere with the site. Try disabling them and then visit the Facebook site.
- Your browser's settings: in addition to JavaScript, it is necessary to allow the use of cookies.
- For Firefox, go to Menu > Settings > Privacy & Security and set your tracking protection to Standard.
- For Edge, go to Menu > Settings > Site permissions > Cookies and site data and check Allow sites to save and read cookie data.
- Your antivirus/firewall: check that it doesn't block something when you're on the Facebook site.
- A third-party software: check your installed software and make sure they don't prevent Facebook from loading properly.
If all of the above didn't help to resolve the issue with Facebook, try scanning your computer to make sure that it doesn't have any suspicious or malicious programs. I recommend you to perform the scan with Malwarebytes which is free.
