Hi,

Here's the page where you can download the drivers for your HP Deskjet 2732 printer.

On the page, select Installation Software and Full/Basic Driver-Supports print and scan functionality only to download the complete set of drivers and software.

Hello, that is what I've downloaded in the past, the download link goes to:
HPEasyStart-12.8.9-DJ2700_51_2_4771_1_Full_Webpack (1)

I'm trying to avoid the HP EasyStart full package. I only want a driver for my printer. I used to have the driver only. Is there a folder in the full download package that contains the driver only (for basic printer functionality)?

Thanks

Hi,

The drivers are extracted in the Temp folder and indeed, it is possible to install them manually. However, I saw that you'll get a few shortcuts to HP software on your desktop. It seems that they came with the drivers package, because I didn't found any other additional software in the installed programs.

To install only the drivers for your printer, launch HP EasyStart and let it extract the files. Next, once it closes by itself after extracting, cancel the installation.

Press the Windows + R keys. Type %TEMP% and press Enter. Locate the most recent folder that was created and open it.

I can't tell you the exact name of the folder because it varies each time. You can hover the mouse over the folders to see which one contains the HP software and drivers.

Go to the Driver folder and double click on the file DJ270x64 to install the drivers. If you're using a 32-bit computer, select the file DJ270x32. You'll see two same files, choose the Windows Package Installer.

Thank you for this info. I remember someone in another tech forum say they extracted "HP EasyStart" download using 7zip app. Once extracted, there appeared all the folders and files using the 7zip app. I wonder if I could look for DJ270x64 that way. I'll try it and if it doesn't work, will try your way. Thanks much for this help.

I wish HP would not force all this extra stuff on buyers. I know a lot of it includes "tracking" which I don't want, hence why I only want the drivers. Thanks again.

Yes! I "unzipped" the HP EasyStart download using 7zip, and found the DJ270x64 folder inside.... It's a CAB folder. Should the entire CAB folder be put somewhere?

Anyway, I unzipped the folder and have a bunch of files inside. Any idea where to go from here?
Thanks...

Can you see the Driver folder in the unzipped HP EasyStart folder? If yes, open it and you'll see two DJ270x64 files. One CAB file and one Windows Package Installer file. Run the Windows Package Installer file to start installing the drivers.
