Hello,

I'm not able to open the C drive normally. If I click the drive it open a open with dialogue page. If I use explore also I get the same thing. I can open it only with entering the C: in RUN or in the address bar. While scanning for virus I found out the checksum for explorer is changed. Now how do I fix the explorer?

I'm using XP Professional SP2.

Please suggest a solution.

Dont worry yaar.
it is a just an autorun.inf file
just go to command prompt
and go to the the drive which is not open
c:\>attrib -h -r -s -a autorun.inf
c:\>del autorun.inf

then reboot. and ensure that no virus is in the computer. other wise it will again create one more autorun.inf.

good luck,,....

Regarding the below fix, ya da man or wo-man!!!!!!!!
It worked great and simply even though I had the same problem with my pc hard drive, an sd card and external hard drive! All you have to is change the C below with the other device desiganation letters that need fixes. Just at end of C:>\ type E: and enter to fix E: or F: enter to fix F: Great fix!!!!!! Thanks for saving my weekend!!!!!!!!!

Hey Yarr,

Try dis. Go to run type cmd
