Cant download flashplayer at all. need help

Hello,
i am unable to download adobe flashplayer. i mean my flashplayer was working properly and then suddenly when i opened a site it said you need flashplayer and nothing is working. i cant even hear songs or watch a single video. when i tried downloading adobe flashplayer from adobe site a dialogue box appeared as it always does asking me to do you want to intall when i clicked install tab it disappeared i waited and waited but didnt get the save option and nothing happened at all. i tried it several times but all in vain. i cant get it downloaded. i dont know where my previous flashplayer suddenly disappeared. then i saw in a site that i need to uninsatll my previous version i downloaded the flashplayer uninstall software and uninstalled it n tried intalling it again but still the same. i need help. as i am stuck. :(
