As your laptop shutdown immediately if you unplug the charger, this confirms that the available percentage for the battery is exact and that there's no issue with the operating system itself.
Turn off the laptop and leave it plugged in for a few hours to let the battery charge. If after a few hours the battery is stuck at 0%, try discharging static electricity.
Make sure your laptop is off. Remove the charger and battery. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds, then put the battery and charger back and turn on your laptop.
If the battery still won't charge, then you should consider replacing it.
