Hello,
I have looked through some past answers and have not found a solution yet; I am trying to apply conditional formatting to a sheet where if text in column A = a specific name, different cells in that row will highlight.
For example,
if the name Abbott is entered into column A, I would like column B, D, E, F, G in that row to highlight green to notify that an entry is required is those specific cells.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Lindsey, Good evening.

To solve this specific question try to do:
------------------------------------------------------------------
• Select B1, D1...to...G1

• Conditional Format > Formula

• Type -->
=$A1="Abbott"

• Format --> Select FILL as GREEN

OK
------------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly you will have to adapt this formula to meet your real need and not just this example you provided us.

Was this what you wanted?

Hope this helps
