Hi,
You should try to recalibrate your battery.
If your laptop still shuts down when the battery reaches 50%, then consider replacing it - the battery is dead, it no longer holds the charge.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
You should try to recalibrate your battery.
- Turn off your laptop and charge your battery to 100%.
- Unplug the AC power and turn on your laptop.
- Leave your laptop on until you drain the battery completely. Make sure to disable sleep, hibernation and screen power saving mode during the process. In the Advanced power settings, set the Critical battery level to 1%. You can use your laptop to speed up battery draining.
- After it shuts down automatically due to low battery, charge the battery again to 100%.
- Turn on your laptop and set the power settings back to default.
If your laptop still shuts down when the battery reaches 50%, then consider replacing it - the battery is dead, it no longer holds the charge.
