Unusual problem with skype

I am facing an unusual problem with skype. Some of my contacts have problems to send me a message (it loads without being sent) and they receive a message that I have blocked them or that I block incoming messages. Of course if I had blocked them, they wouldn't get such a notification. After a few tries they manage to send their message.
Has anyone faced this problem before? Can anyone suggest what can possibly cause this issues?

Hi,
Perhaps, because your Internet connection was slowed down / disconnected or experienced packet loss when they tried to send you messages. Check your Internet network and make sure it works properly. Try also using a cable connection to see if that helps.
Regarding Skype itself, update it to the latest version - if you're using an older version and your contacts have a newer one, this may also cause problems between the versions.
