Notification sound interruption

When is WhatsApp going to fix the fact that when I am using voice to text dictation, and somebody sends me a text in the middle of it that it interrupts my dictation? Of course a fix would be to turn off text notification sounds but that's not a viable solution.
I guess I should mention that this is on the current Android OS. And past ones.

Hi,
Try reporting this to WhatsApp by going to Settings > Help > Contact us. In the meantime, you can turn on the Do Not Disturb mode, record your message, then turn it off.
