Bringing back notifications for downloads on macos

Hello,

before Meta made their whatsapp app for macos really worse, I received notifications for every download that, clicked, brought me directly to the downloaded file. Now, this notification doesn't show up anymore, even if I enabled all notifications both in macos settings and whatsapp app's settings.

Is this a feature that has been simply lost by Meta/macos? Or is it hidden somewhere?

Hi,

Do you still receive other notifications such as those for new messages? If yes, it could be possible that WhatsApp have removed this notification. You may try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to make sure there's no bug with it.
