Greetings!

I have been using WhatsApp on an iPhone XS Max running 17.6 until it was flooded with water and delivered to workshop for repair.
During the repair time I switched to WhatsApp on Samsung S10+ running Android 12. After the iPhone got repaired I switched back WhatApp on iOS.
In the result, to date the iOS WhatsApp has all the chats with a certain time gap and the Android WhatsApp have the messages to fill the gap.
The task now is to fill the gap at the iOS WhatsApp with messages and conteте from the Android WhatsApp.

Can you share you experience in merging WhatsApp chats between Android and iOS, please?

Unfortunately WhatsApp team explicitly states: "You can’t merge new chats from your new phone and old chats from your old phone." (https://faq.whatsapp.com/1039228717453239), so they will not help.

I've just started the research on the subject and the developers of the following apps do claim that the apps can do such merge:
Wondershare MobileTrans
Tenorshare iCareFone Transfer

So far I have not tried any of these apps by myself and want to learn your experience.

Thank you.

Hi,

Merging WhatsApp chats is difficult as it isn't supported officially. At this time, only third-party software claims to be able to merge WhatsApp chats, but they're all paid unfortunately...

I've no experience with the software you mentioned. However, you can see that reviews about their companies are mostly positive, so we can think that they're able to merge chats as claimed. I couldn't find reviews about the feature we're interested in, but, even if it looks like that they can, check first their refund policies and privacy practices, and keep a copy of your backups in case something goes wrong, before giving a try.

If you prefer avoiding using such software, you can either keep your Samsung phone to access your recent chats, or transfer them to your iPhone. To avoid losing your old chats on your iPhone, open a chat (do this for all chats to save) and select your contact. Next, choose Export Chat > Attach Media or Without MediaMail. Your chats (and recent media) will be attached to your email, then send it to yourself. That way, you can still look at your previous chats after the transfer.

I wish there were other methods much effective and free, but giving that WhatsApp itself can't merge chats, the options are (very) limited for now.

Hope this helps.
