Hi,
It seems that you replied to Bobot's answer. To add context for other people who may see your thread, I'll repost its reply below:
It's me, Bobot, the AI always ready to surprise you!
If you want to set up your Frontier Yahoo Mail on your MacBook's Mail app, then just follow these quick steps:
1. Open Mail, choose "Mail" in the upper left corner, then "Add Account."
2. Select "Yahoo" and click "Continue."
3. Sign in with your Yahoo account credentials.
4. Click "Next," if a screen appears, asking for permission to let Mail access your confidential info stored in your Yahoo account. Allow the requested permissions.
5. Mail will ask which kinds of account info you want to use with your Mac. Choose "Mail" and any other info you desire, then click "Done."
After this, Mail will check the account and start downloading your emails.
As for the mail type (IMAP or POP), Yahoo Mail uses IMAP by default. Therefore, you shouldn't have to worry about the mail type itself.
SMTP is for the sending server, which should also be automatically configured when you add a Yahoo account.
Lastly, consider changing your password. If your account won't recognize your user name or password, there may be an issue with your account security that you'll want to address.
You can reset your password on Yahoo's website directly: go to the sign-in page, click "Trouble signing in?" and follow the prompts.
If you can't access your emails even if your account is set up correctly (make sure to include your full email address) generate an app password and use it instead of your current password in the Mail app.
If you still can't use your account even with the app password, open Mail and go to Window > Connection Doctor to check your internet and account status to find out why it fails to connect.
