Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to transfer files from Sims 3 from one comp to another. Both comps are on the same network. Here's the deal....I installed the game on my comp for my daughter. I would now like to transfer what she has built on the game from my comp to her comp so i can start using my comp again. I'm runnin' XP. Please help.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply my friend. I'm running XP home instead of pro and I don't see the same options for file sharing. Are the directions different for xp home. I am somewhat computer illiterate. Thanks again

Hello,

If you have a LAN at home! You can share files from 1 pc to another,

You will have to configure a simple file sharing on all the computers,

To turn Simple File Sharing on or off in Windows XP Professional, follow these steps:
Double-click My Computer on the desktop.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
Click the View tab, and then select the Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended) check box to turn on Simple File Sharing. (Clear this check box to turn off this feature.)

Then copy all your files you want to share in this folder,

then access the folder from other machines

Thanks
