Problem with CD writer

Hello,
why some of DVDs and some of CDs are opening while others are not opening after recovery in hp pavilion dv2500. earlier my internet explorer was not working so, i have asked in hp centre. they said the internet explorer is corrupted so, they suggested for the recovery of laptop. But after recovery the above mentioned problem has occured. so, what should I do ?

Are you having this problem for Dvds (video or films )


If yes it is because some plugins has been erased.


Otherwise it might be because of the speed that the dvd has been burned or maybe the disc is damage

Have you a driver for your drive?
