Can't download the flash player :( HELP!

Hello,
My laptop won't let me comment status' etc and won't let me watch anything on youtube, it is saying i need to download the latest flash player.
When i click on the link to download it on the Adobe page, It doesn't let me download it and the laptop doesn't even acknowledge the link has been pressed..
Help would be much appreciatedd, thanks :)

Hey, thanks your the same pe4rson that helped me with my other question.
you suggested google chrome on the other answer too, but that wouldn't work so i downlaoded firefox instead.
I still can't get flashplayer on there, you have any idea whyy?
