Vista ok, xp not so much..

Hello,
I have a laptop w/ vista, and a desktop with xp. We have them both connected through the modem and router. The laptop will connect to the internet with both of the two wires but the xp will not. It says it is connected but it doesn't open any web pages at all.. how do I get it to work? Sorry, vague, I know...

Hye there,

If you are using Internet Explorer,

Click on Tools > Internet Options > Connection Tab > LAN settings,

Tick the Automatically detect proxy settings

Then Press ok

And restart IE
