Water in battery

Hello, I have an apple Ipod nano 8gb 3rd generation i think and i had my headphones in one time and the headphones slipped of me and the IPod went in to water and hasnt been the same since it charges and works for about an hour and then it just goes dead again I was wondering if anyone can offer me any advice regarding this as i miss my IPod very much :(

other than the battery try opening your ipod and dry it and its parts in the sun.
Because thats what I did yo my mobile and it works perfectly fine now

Hi there I was wondering how do I get my IPod to open it looks really hard and cos its so slim i dont think i can
