Dates into text

Hello,
I am working with dates in excel and need to transform them into text and have no idea how to right a macro to do so. So for example, where I have a date i want text....values

11/19/2007
11/20/2007
11/21/2007
11/22/2007
11/23/2007
11/24/2007
11/25/2007
11/26/2007
11/27/2007
11/28/2007

to =

1.1
2.1
3.1
4.1
5.1
6.1
7.1
8.1
9.1
10.1

etc.

not clear

11/19/2007(that is 19th Novaember 2007) is 1 and also
11/20/2007(that is 20th November 2007) is 1

what does that 1 represent???
