Hello,
i have a toshiba satellite a200 series laptop with 2.00 ghz processor & my installed ram is 1Gb DDR2 (512mb+512mb) each. i want to updae my ram. so i purchased 2 GB of ram & installed in one the slots of ram .now my laptop is showing 2.5Gb of ram. shall i remove the 512Gb & let the ram as 2Gb or let it work as 2.5 Gb?
Is 2GB in one slot compatible with 512Gb in another slot.

hi there,

you can work with the 2.5gb ram

but be sure they are both of same frequency
