I have done everything that was mentioned in there till the part where you had to go to the SiS site. The problem is that, the desktop i have having ethernet problem with (I am on my laptop now) has no internet connection, and thus unable to go to SiS to download do the whole "I accept thing". However I managed to install SIW and found that i have no ethernet. Below is a partial print screen of what I found while following the instructions from the post mentioned above.
I managed to get the info about the mother board and downloaded the driver. It has been fixed!. success!... After hours of annoyance, this feels good. Please keep up the good work since I'll probably encounter another problem XD.
