Laptop don't read but dvd does

Hello,
when i burn i dvd on my mac laptop, it doesn't read or play on the laptop, but when i use it on a dvd player it can read.. what is going on???

purchase a lens cleaner

and clean the lens

you will find instructions on the lens

cleaner manual how to use it
