My head phone does not work wellClosed

Question

Hello,
 I bought a Dell laptop model Inspiron 1545. It was in VISTA system I converted the system into XP. When I plug a headphone, I can hear but on the other end can't hear my voice through skype. I also tried to record my voice of the XP voice recorder but it does not work. 

This is very much important to solve this issue.

Would you please help me to overcome this kind of problem?

hi there,

when the headphone is not plug 

do you hear music on internal speaker?

if not then you need to install driver for sound

My head phone lets me listen to songs on the laptop and works while watching movies. But when i make internet calls it doesnt work. I am audible to the other end. Someone please help.
