do you remember doing anything prior to this problem?

nope they worked just fine one min. and i got up to get a something to eat and when i sat back down none of it worked.

have you done a recent av check?
shut windows down, reboot, press f8 and select last known good settings. se if that helps

ok, it's possible the drivers for your sound have become corrupt or missing.
go into device manager and select sound, video and game controllers.
expand the tree. (click on the +)
there should be a mention in the list of your sound card, if not then you need to reinstall the drivers.
go to the support website of your computer and do a search on your make model of your computer.(or motherboard if you have a non branded pc)
download the chipset drivers and sound drivers. reinstall them.
