Printer problem

Hello,
my printer is an Epson CX3700. I got a replacement pc with a PCLinuxOS 2009. I recently plugged in my printer via USB but my pc doesn't recognize it. Actually, the pc didn't react when the printer was connected. What could be the matter?

you need to install driver for the operating system

go to manufacturer website and download driver
