windows update do not opens//Closed

Question

Hello,i have a windows vista,,,and my windows update doesn-t open,,and my sleep button has changed it's appearance to red with a shield appear on it  ,,,,___??? it says install update and shut down computer,,,,,i hve also checked for viruses bt its running normal?????halp ,,,i'm an ameture,,thnxxx

Hello Sir,

You will have to recover your windows system,

Just use the recovery disc for your computer,

Make sure to backup all your important data 

Then turn your automatic updates on in the Control Panel
