To recover lost photos

Hello,
I have stored my photos in shared documents or owners document i couldn't remember exactly .Due to virus infection I have reinstall my window Xp os , thus i have lost all my photos in it. Nnow i want that photos immedialtely . So, how can I recover my photos. pls help me

was all ur icons and everything back when installed Windows Xp os?????
