Computer problem

Hello, so about two days ago when i woke up and tried to use my computer, all my programs wont run. When i click on things like iTunes, a black box appears and then closes after less than a second. I cannot run norton to see if i have a virus. I don't know what to do.

You definitely have to format your pc, i was myself victim of a virus which can do those tricky things by blocking all exe as well as your anti-virus don't even think of backing up your softwares just format all.

okay i know nothing about computers lol what does formatting it mean?
