Seious help..cant start windows at all...

Hello,
Okay so i'm having serious laptop issues. When i try to start up my cmop, it skips right to the page with 'safe mode/w networking,/wcommand prompt, last known configuration, or start windows normally.' No matter which i press, a blue screen flashes right after the windows does, then my computer just shuts down and restarts. Can anyone help please?!?!?

windows XP with vista...

The blues screen displays a message with fatal error?

If you aren't still able to start windows in safe mode, there is a high possibility that it has been corrupt, the best solution would be to install a fresh copy, but that mean formatting the pc.
