Linking values in excel 2007

Hey,

I'm not that great with values in Excel and i'm currently trying to create a spread sheet solution to making a pay slip.

I have a spreadsheet with columns. with values of "job positions" along with "Rates"

and another spreadsheet "Hours Worked" where i want the "Rate" column to appear accordingly to the "job position" details.

Can anybody help?? its probably simple. lol
