Security of laptop

Hello,
i have laptop in i have already i had eset NOD32 installed but when checking protection status through onlineit has been showing it consists of 79 infected files.though im scanning it it doesn't detcting any files. why does this problem occuring

What actions did you take when it detected these 79 infected files ?
