PC boots with black background and explorer

Hello,
When I boot my Sony Vaio with Vista, all I get is a black background with explorer (small window). No icons or taskbar. If I press Ctrl - Alt - Del and use New Task and type Explorer.exe, everything works fine. When I reboot - same problem. How could I fix this?

hye, this is normally done by a virus that modifies you registry, try to remove it with macfee

or go to you registry
type regedit in your run

look for HKey Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon\Shell\explorer.exe

if it has been corrupted there should be more stuff behind that line just delete the rest and restart you machine
