Msn messenger problem

Hello,
i have a problem with my msn messenger. so i have it installed in my computer, but there is no icon to click on for it in my starter menu, or on my desktop. i know its installed on my computer, because every time i try to re-install the msn messenger it says that i already have the file on my computer. so pretty much i can't find my messenger on my laptop. i have a Gateway laptop if that helps at all.
