Hello,

I am trying to play a game and i get this message
"Direct3d could not be correctly initialized. Sometimes this will be fixed by rebooting your machine. If it still occurs after a fresh reboot, you may need to reinstall directx."

OS name: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
Version: 6.1.7100 Build 7100
OS manufacturer: Dell Corp
System model: Latitude D630
System type: X86-based PC
Processor Intel Core2 Duo CPU T7500 @2.2ghz, 2201 Mhz, 2 cores
Bios: dell Inc A15, 11/24/2008
SMBIOS version : 2.4

I think i need to update my video driver but all it says is "Generic VGA Video Adapter" when i go to device manager so I dont know how to update it. Thanks.

try the vista drivers for your card.
also go to microsoft downloads and try downloading dx from there, they should have the latest.

go to the dell support page for Latitude D630 as that is the model of your laptop.
download the vista driver for the graphics card.
