HAL.dll error

Hello,

I have windows vista home premium, and i cant do nothing with my laptop!! i cant get past the windows boot manager telling me that i have an error

File:\windows\system32\hal.dll
Status:0xc000035a
Info: Windows failed to load because the HAL is missing, or corrupt.

and i cant do much with it it wont run cd's or load windows from the many options it can give,

Someone please help me?

If you have a Vista install DVD you can start a boot repair from the disk.
