DVD icon not shown in my computer

Hello,

The DVD drive is not shown in My Computer. Make is Compaq and OS is windows Vista. CQ45 207 . Probles datails as given in the properties
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Please advise me what to do.

Just delete the driver of your dvd drive and then restart windows, then windows will automatically reinstall the driver.
