Problem with sata drivers

Hello, guys
i would like to do format at my pc. i have hp pavilion dv 6139ea and i have vista , i want to put xp and my problem is that i can't because i have to put inside my disk with windows and the sata drivers to start. i download the nlite programm and also the drivers from hp site for my model and when i am trying to put the drivers inside the dvd i can't because it is .exe and it has to be .inf
what i can do to solve my problem?thank you very much , i am waiting for reply
