MSN messenger disappearing

Hello,
i downloaded the msn messenger 8.5 long back. but sometimes it be disappeared from the taskbar and i have no other way to open the messenger other than to restart my laptop so that it will be shown at the start up.
i looked for the msn messenger in the c drive, add and remove, desktop but i didnt find any icon to click on so that it will start up

Open your task manager and then click on processes and end process msnmgr.exe and then open your msn from the start menu.

This worked for me. At first I could not find the messenger in my start menu, only an very old version, but if you open all programs then look for windows live, the newer version of messenger is in there
